Solar Panel Installation Tips
Positioning Your Solar Panel
- The Solar Panel should not be shaded at ANY time
- The Solar Panel should face South (North, if below the Equator)
- The Solar Panel angle should be based on region
Please Note: Cameras located in areas with limited solar exposure should rely on the Sensera Systems Solar Panel Mobile App, for optimal positioning.
XL Models or Additional Solar Panel Positioning
The recommendations above also apply to an XL model camera or users who purchased a supplemental solar panel. Please pay special attention to the following items:
- The camera should be placed above your solar panels
- Cameras that face the same direction as your solar panel, should have at least 5′ of spacing to prevent any shadow obstruction
