Autodesk Forma and SiteCloud Integration

Integrating Sensera Systems’ SiteCloud with Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) allows users to seamlessly export and manage project imagery within a central location.

Initial Setup and App Installation

(Please Note: This setup must be completed before users can see their Autodesk projects within the SiteCloud environment.)

To enable communication between SiteCloud and Autodesk Forma, a hub administrator must first install the Sensera app in the Autodesk Forma platform.

1. App Authorization: From the Hub Admin portion in Autodesk Forma, navigate to “Apps” and select the “Sensera SiteCloud” app.

2. Installation: Complete the installation and authorization to allow the two platforms to exchange project files.

Exporting Imagery Automatically from SiteCloud

Once the integration is active, images can be sent directly to specific Autodesk projects. Configuration occurs via the Configure Camera page in SiteCloud.

1. Click the checkbox for Enable Project Updates.
2. Check the boxes for the days when the latest picture should be sent.
3. After selecting “Autodesk Construction Cloud” as the destination, choose the specific project for the export.

Exporting Images Manually

1. On the “View” page, select desired image from Captured Media list
2. On the left-hand navigation, select the “Export” button
3. Ensure that “Current Image” is selected
4. Select Autodesk Construction Cloud and click “Export“

Exporting Insights Manually

1. From the report you wish to export, select Share in the upper right-hand corner.
2. Select Export to Autodesk.

Managing Files in Autodesk Forma

• Central Location: Exported images and insights are located in the “Files” section, which is accessible through Autodesk Forma Build,Data Management, and other modules.
• Folder Structure: Files are organized into specific folders. For instance, “Insights” are kept in one folder, while exported images are stored in another.
• File Details: Each exported file is titled with a date and time stamp, allowing users to view a chronological history of their project exports.
• Annotations and Issues: Within Autodesk, users can open images at full resolution to add markups or annotations. These files can then be attached as references to specific project items, such as safety issues or daily logs.
